مقتل 6 وإصابة 12 في انقلاب حافلة بنيبال – أخبار السعودية

لقي 6 أشخاص مقتلهم وأصيب 12 آخرون إثر انقلاب حافلة ركاب على طريق سريع في منطقة ناوالباراسي شرقي نيبال، فيما أشارت التحقيقات الأولية إلى أن تعطل المكابح ربما تسبب في الحادث.
ووقع الحادث في ساعة مبكرة من صباح (السبت)، بعدما فقد سائق الحافلة السيطرة عليها إثر تعطل المكابح، لتنحرف عن الطريق وتسقط في مجرى جانبي بمنطقة داوني التابعة لبلدية بينايي تريفيني الريفية، على الطريق السريع الرابط بين شرق البلاد وغربها، أثناء توجه الحافلة من نيبالغونج إلى العاصمة كاتماندو، بحسب الشرطة النيبالية.
وأكدت الشرطة لاحقاً التعرف على هوية جميع الضحايا الستة، ومن بينهم سائق الحافلة البالغ من العمر 36 عاماً، إضافة إلى خمسة ركاب تراوحت أعمارهم بين 22 و65 عاماً.
ونُقل المصابون في البداية إلى مستشفى ماديابيندو الإقليمي لتلقي العلاج، قبل تحويل ثمانية منهم إلى مستشفى كلية تشيتوان الطبية في بهاراتبور للحصول على رعاية طبية متقدمة، فيما بقي أربعة مصابين تحت المراقبة والعلاج في المستشفى الإقليمي.
تواصل السلطات النيبالية التحقيق في الملابسات الفنية للحادث.
Six people were killed and 12 others were injured when a passenger bus overturned on a highway in the Nawalparasi area of eastern Nepal, with initial investigations suggesting that brake failure may have caused the accident.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday after the bus driver lost control due to brake failure, causing the bus to veer off the road and fall into a side channel in the Dauni area of the rural municipality of Binayi Triveni, on the highway connecting the east and west of the country, while the bus was heading from Nepalgunj to the capital Kathmandu, according to Nepalese police.
The police later confirmed the identities of all six victims, including the 36-year-old bus driver, as well as five passengers aged between 22 and 65 years.
The injured were initially taken to Madi Bindra Regional Hospital for treatment, before eight of them were transferred to Chitwan Medical College Hospital in Bharatpur for advanced medical care, while four injured remained under observation and treatment at the regional hospital.
Nepalese authorities continue to investigate the technical circumstances of the accident.
