الأمم المتحدة تطالب الحوثيين بوقف الاعتداءات فورًا على السعودية – أخبار السعودية
أدان الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش، بشدة الهجوم الذي استهدفت به ميليشيا الحوثي مطار الملك خالد الدولي في الرياض يوم السبت، معتبرًا أن الاعتداء على المدنيين والبنية التحتية المدنية يمثّل انتهاكًا صارخًا للقانون الدولي وتهديدًا مباشرًا للأمن الإقليمي.
وأكد غوتيريش في بيان أن استمرار استهداف المنشآت المدنية يفرض ضرورة وقف هذه الهجمات فورًا، محذرًا من تداعياتها على الاستقرار في المنطقة.
كما جدّد المبعوث الأممي إلى اليمن هانس غروندبرغ إدانته للهجمات المتواصلة التي يشنّها الحوثيون ضد البنية التحتية المدنية في المملكة، مشيرًا إلى أن الهجوم على مطار الملك خالد جاء بعد أيام من اعتداءات مماثلة طالت مطاري الرياض وأبها وأسفرت عن سقوط ضحايا من المدنيين.
ووصف غروندبرغ هذه الاعتداءات بأنها تصعيد خطير يهدد الأمن الإقليمي، داعيًا الحوثيين إلى الالتزام بالقانون الدولي الإنساني ووقف الهجمات التي تستهدف المدنيين والأعيان المدنية المحمية.
The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres strongly condemned the attack carried out by the Houthi militia on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday, considering that the assault on civilians and civilian infrastructure represents a blatant violation of international law and a direct threat to regional security.
Guterres emphasized in a statement that the continued targeting of civilian facilities necessitates an immediate halt to these attacks, warning of their repercussions on stability in the region.
The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, also renewed his condemnation of the ongoing attacks by the Houthis against civilian infrastructure in the Kingdom, noting that the attack on King Khalid Airport came just days after similar assaults on Riyadh and Abha airports, which resulted in civilian casualties.
Grundberg described these assaults as a serious escalation that threatens regional security, calling on the Houthis to adhere to international humanitarian law and cease attacks targeting civilians and protected civilian objects.
