شكل اعتداء صدام حسين على الكويت ناقوس خطر لدول الخليج العربية لتدرك أهمية تعزيز علاقاتها وتضامنها ووحدة سياساتها، لكن ما حصل هو أن مواقف سياسية ناشزة اتخذت، وقنوات إعلامية معادية أنشئت في قلب الخليج العربي لهدم تضامنه وشق صفوفه وخلق العداوات بين شعوبه، ودفعت المنطقة أثماناً باهظة لهذه الممارسات العبثية، ثم جاء العدوان الإيراني الأخير ليدق ناقوس خطر آخر، وبدلاً من استدراك الأخطاء واللجوء للتضامن نجد البعض يواصل ممارسة سياسات العبث والمناكفة، في الوقت الذي هو في أشد الحاجة لوقفة الأشقاء ودعم الأصدقاء !
كانت السعودية الدولة الخليجية الأكثر صراحة في مواجهة السياسات الإيرانية العدوانية طيلة عقود، فكشفت أهدافها وواجهت عملياتها، فلم تهادن أو تداهن، ولم تتماه أو تتهاد مع النفاق السياسي للعدو، ولم توفر له الملاجئ المالية أو تمده بالشرايين الاقتصادية، لذلك ليس مقبولاً من البعض اليوم أن يقدم لنا الدروس في كيفية التعامل مع العدوانية الإيرانية، في الوقت الذي كان فيه يشق الصفوف ويشذ عن المواقف، ليفيق فجأة على الحقيقة بعد أن تذوق مرارة الغدر الإيراني وتجرع سم الصداقة الزائفة !
كانت المملكة خط الدفاع الأول عن الأمن العربي، عندما انطلق مشروع قاسم سليماني ليلتهم أربع عواصم عربية، وكانت الحكومات العربية تقف موقف المتفرج، وكان لتصدي المملكة لمشروع التوسع والهيمنة الإيراني الدور الأساس في انكفاء هذا المشروع وإفشاله في سوريا واليمن ولبنان، فقد كانت المملكة حائط الصد الأخير قبل أن تكتسح إيران العالم العربي !
باختصار.. تتخذ المملكة سياساتها انطلاقاً من مسؤوليتها تجاه أمن المنطقة، ولا ننتظر من أحد شكراً، لكن في الوقت نفسه لا نقبل الدروس ممن رسبوا في اختباراتهم !

However, what happened was that discordant political positions were taken, and hostile media channels were established in the heart of the Arabian Gulf to undermine its solidarity, create divisions, and foster enmities among its peoples. The region has paid a heavy price for these reckless practices. Then came the recent Iranian aggression to sound another alarm. Instead of correcting mistakes and resorting to solidarity, some continue to engage in reckless and provocative policies at a time when they are in dire need of the support of their brothers and friends!
Saudi Arabia has been the most outspoken Gulf state in confronting Iranian aggressive policies for decades, exposing its objectives and countering its operations. It did not appease or compromise, nor did it align itself with the political hypocrisy of the enemy, nor did it provide financial shelters or economic lifelines to it. Therefore, it is unacceptable for some today to offer us lessons on how to deal with Iranian aggression, at a time when they were the ones creating divisions and deviating from the stances, only to suddenly awaken to the truth after tasting the bitterness of Iranian treachery and swallowing the poison of false friendship!
The Kingdom was the first line of defense for Arab security when Qassem Soleimani’s project aimed to engulf four Arab capitals, while Arab governments stood by as spectators. The Kingdom’s resistance to the Iranian expansion and hegemony project played a crucial role in thwarting this project in Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon, as it was the last bulwark before Iran could sweep through the Arab world!
In short, the Kingdom formulates its policies based on its responsibility towards the security of the region, and we do not expect thanks from anyone, but at the same time, we do not accept lessons from those who have failed their tests!
