* عند الحديث عن أبها ورجال عسير، لا تعرف من أين تبدأ ومن أين تنتهي؛ شموخهم وطموحهم يعلو في جبالها الشامخة التي استلهموا منها الكثير والكثير.
* صعود أبها إلى دوري روشن لم يأتِ من فراغ، بل كان وراءه رجال صنعوا المجد لتلك المدينة الحالمة على جبال السروات الشاهقة، كل من عرف وزار تلك المدينة، عرف مدى كرم وحب وعشق أهلها الذين ارتبطوا بتاريخ جميل، وكل من أشرف على إمارة منطقة عسير، ارتبط بحبهم.
* الأمير خالد الفيصل، عندما كان أميراً لمنطقة عسير، عبّر عن اشتياقه العميق للمنطقة وأهلها في لقاء تلفزيوني، حيث وصف رجال عسير بأنهم «رجال بمعنى الكلمة»، مؤكداً أنهم يتبادرون إلى ذهنه حين يُذكر «الرجل العربي السعودي»، ونثر فيها أجمل الكلمات والشعر.
* وعندما رأيت أميرها المحبوب الأمير تركي بن طلال يتكبد عناء السفر إلى مدينة حائل لدعم نادي أبها وتأكيد بطاقة الصعود لدوري روشن، أكد ذلك أن الرياضة جزء لا يتجزأ من رسالة المجتمع، خاصة أن النادي يحمل اسم تلك المدينة الحالمة الجميلة التي من الصعب وصف جمالها الخلاب.
* الأمير تركي بن طلال؛ حقيقةً أنا معجب جداً بهذا الرجل في حكمته وحنكته وتواضعه وأدبه، وحرصه الكبير على توفير كل النواحي الخدمية بمنطقة عسير، وهو الداعم الأول للرياضة بالمنطقة. وصعود أبها إلى دوري روشن بالتأكيد كان وراءه هذا الرجل، وكلمات الشكر والتقدير لن توفيه حقه.
* صعود أبها إلى دوري روشن بهذه السرعة يؤكد أن هناك إدارة عملت منذ وقت مبكر بقيادة سعد الأحمري، الذين نجحوا في عمل كبير ظهرت نتائجه بالعودة والصعود بشكل سريع.
* زرت أبها عدة مرات ورأيت حب وارتباط أهلها بأنديتهم، وأبارك بهذه المناسبة لصديقيّ الدكتور مشبب بن ماطر العسيري، ومنصور بن سعيد الأحمري، اللذين كانا خير سفيرين لمنطقة عسير في كرة السلة.
* نادي أبها بالتأكيد يحتاج الكثير والكثير للموسم القادم ليثبت أقدامه بين الكبار، والمهمة ليست سهلة، لكنني متأكد أن الإدارة الحالية تعمل من الآن للموسم القادم.
* مبروك من القلب لأهل عسير ورجال عسير، وللأمير المحبوب تركي بن طلال.

* When talking about Abha and the men of Asir, you don’t know where to start or where to end; their pride and ambition rise in its towering mountains from which they have drawn so much inspiration.
* Abha’s rise to the Roshen League did not come out of nowhere; behind it were men who created glory for that dreamy city on the towering Sarawat mountains. Anyone who has known and visited that city has recognized the generosity, love, and passion of its people, who are connected to a beautiful history, and everyone who has overseen the Emirate of Asir has been linked to their love.
* Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, when he was the Emir of Asir, expressed his deep longing for the region and its people in a television interview, where he described the men of Asir as “men in every sense of the word,” affirming that they come to his mind when “the Saudi Arabian man” is mentioned, and he scattered beautiful words and poetry about them.
* When I saw its beloved prince, Prince Turki bin Talal, endure the hardship of traveling to Hail to support Abha Club and confirm the promotion to the Roshen League, it confirmed that sports are an integral part of the community’s message, especially since the club carries the name of that beautiful dreamy city that is hard to describe its enchanting beauty.
* Prince Turki bin Talal; truly, I am very impressed with this man for his wisdom, sagacity, humility, and manners, and his great care in providing all service aspects in the Asir region. He is the primary supporter of sports in the area. Abha’s rise to the Roshen League was certainly behind this man, and words of thanks and appreciation will not do him justice.
* Abha’s rapid rise to the Roshen League confirms that there is a management team that has been working early on under the leadership of Saad Al-Ahmari, who succeeded in a significant endeavor, with results appearing in the quick return and promotion.
* I have visited Abha several times and have seen the love and connection of its people to their clubs. On this occasion, I congratulate my friends Dr. Mushabbab bin Matar Al-Asiri and Mansour bin Saeed Al-Ahmari, who have been excellent ambassadors for the Asir region in basketball.
* Abha Club certainly needs a lot for the upcoming season to establish its presence among the giants, and the task is not easy, but I am sure that the current management is working now for the next season.
