تحوّلت مناطق ريفية قرب مطار ميونيخ في ألمانيا إلى ساحة لعملية بحث واسعة، بعدما أثارت مشاهدات حيوان غامض يُشتبه في أنه «بوما» حالة من الاستنفار الأمني، دفعت الشرطة إلى الاستعانة بمروحيات وطائرات مسيّرة مزودة بكاميرات حرارية، من دون أن تنجح حتى الآن في العثور عليه أو تأكيد هويته.
وامتدت عمليات البحث إلى منطقة نوتسينغيرموس، قرب بلدة أوبر دينغ في ولاية بافاريا، حيث استخدمت الشرطة تقنيات التصوير الحراري لمسح المنطقة من الجو، بعدما توقفت عمليات التمشيط الأرضية مع حلول الظلام. لكن الجهود لم تسفر عن أي دليل جديد يؤكد وجود الحيوان المفترس.
كاميرات المراقبة تزيد الغموض
وفي تطور زاد المشهد التباساً، استُدعيت مروحية للتحقق من حيوان رصده موظف في شركة أمن عبر إحدى كاميرات المراقبة، بعدما بدا وكأنه حيوان غير مألوف. لكن الفحص الأولي أشار إلى أنه ليس قطاً كبيراً، وأنه قد يكون مجرد قطة منزلية.
وتعود بداية القصة إلى مساء الثلاثاء الماضي، عندما رصد صياد حيواناً غامضاً باستخدام جهاز للرؤية الليلية، وتمكن من تصويره. وبعد مراجعة التسجيل، رأى خبير أن الحيوان قد يكون بوما، إلا أن السلطات المحلية في منطقة إردينغ أكدت أن هويته لم تُحسم بعد، وأن الصور لا تزال تخضع للتحليل.
ولا تزال أسباب ظهور الحيوان ومصدره مجهولين، في ظل عدم العثور على أي مؤشرات إلى وجود سيرك أو منشأة لإيواء الحيوانات المفترسة في المنطقة يمكن أن يكون قد هرب منها.
تحذيرات للسكان
ومع استمرار البحث، دعت السلطات السكان إلى توخي الحذر والإبلاغ فوراً عن أي مشاهدة محتملة للحيوان أو معلومات قد تساعد في تحديد موقعه.
كما نصحت أصحاب الكلاب بعدم تركها تتجول بحرية، وشددت على ضرورة مراقبة الأطفال الصغار وعدم تركهم يلعبون من دون إشراف.
ورغم الاستنفار، لا تزال فرضية وجود بوما طليق غير مؤكدة، فيما تواصل السلطات التعامل مع البلاغات بحذر إلى حين التوصل إلى دليل قاطع يكشف حقيقة الحيوان.
حيوانات غامضة
وليست هذه المرة الأولى التي تقود فيها مشاهدة حيوان مجهول إلى عمليات بحث واسعة في ألمانيا. ففي عام 2023، أمضت الشرطة والصيادون نحو 30 ساعة في تمشيط منطقة كلاينماخنو قرب برلين، بحثاً عن لبؤة شوهدت في المنطقة، قبل أن ترجح التحقيقات أن الحيوان لم يكن سوى خنزير بري.
وفي عام 2025، تكررت حالة الالتباس قرب بحيرة غايزلتالزيه في ولاية ساكسونيا-أنهالت، بعدما أُبلغ عن مشاهدة حيوان يُعتقد أنه بوما. لكن خبيراً رجح لاحقاً أن يكون الحيوان قطة منزلية، لتعود الشكوك بشأن هوية الحيوانات الغامضة وتثير التساؤلات مجدداً.
Rural areas near Munich Airport in Germany have turned into a scene of a wide-ranging search operation, after sightings of a mysterious animal suspected to be a “puma” triggered a security alert, prompting the police to enlist helicopters and drones equipped with thermal cameras, without having succeeded so far in locating it or confirming its identity.
The search operations extended to the Notsinger Mors area, near the town of Oberding in Bavaria, where the police used thermal imaging techniques to scan the area from the air, after ground patrols were halted with the onset of darkness. However, the efforts yielded no new evidence confirming the presence of the predator.
Surveillance Cameras Add to the Mystery
In a development that added to the confusion, a helicopter was called in to verify an animal spotted by a security company employee through one of the surveillance cameras, after it appeared to be an unfamiliar creature. However, the initial examination indicated that it was not a large cat, and it might just be a domestic cat.
The story began last Tuesday evening when a hunter spotted a mysterious animal using a night vision device and managed to capture footage of it. After reviewing the recording, an expert suggested that the animal could be a puma, but local authorities in the Erding area confirmed that its identity has not yet been determined, and the images are still under analysis.
The reasons for the animal’s appearance and its origin remain unknown, as no indications of a circus or a facility for housing wild animals in the area that it could have escaped from have been found.
Warnings to Residents
As the search continues, authorities have urged residents to exercise caution and report any potential sightings of the animal or information that may help locate it immediately.
They also advised dog owners not to let their pets roam freely and emphasized the need to supervise young children and not allow them to play unsupervised.
Despite the heightened alert, the hypothesis of a free-roaming puma remains unconfirmed, while authorities continue to handle reports cautiously until conclusive evidence reveals the truth about the animal.
Mysterious Animals
This is not the first time that a sighting of an unknown animal has led to extensive search operations in Germany. In 2023, police and hunters spent about 30 hours combing the Kleinmachnow area near Berlin in search of a lioness reported in the area, before investigations suggested that the animal was nothing more than a wild boar.
In 2025, a similar case of confusion occurred near the Geiseltalsee lake in Saxony-Anhalt, after a sighting of an animal believed to be a puma was reported. However, an expert later suggested that the animal might have been a domestic cat, reigniting doubts about the identity of the mysterious animals and raising questions once again.
