لم يكن مفاجئاً ما قامت به مليشيا الحوثي من اعتداء إرهابي على مطار الملك خالد الدولي في الرياض يوم السبت الماضي. كان ذلك متوقعاً وقد أشرنا إليه عندما بدأت عملية فجر اليمن وكانت أولى نتائجها طرد قوات المليشيا من مضيق باب المندب الذي يمثل خسارتها لورقة إستراتيجية مهمة كانت تريد ابتزاز المملكة بها تحديداً. ما تعرّضت له المليشيا مؤخراً سلبها الكثير من مكاسبها، وأفقدها توازنها، وضيّق الخناق عليها، وبدأت تلوح أمامها بوادر نهايتها، فما كان منها سوى استخدام أقصى ما يتوفر لديها للإضرار بالمملكة بعقلية مليشياوية إرهابية إجرامية استهدفت مطار العاصمة وأدت إلى سقوط عدد كبير من الضحايا والمصابين، بما يمثل جريمة حرب مكتملة الأركان بحسب وصف الناطق الرسمي للتحالف.
نعم، إنها جريمة حرب، ونحن في حالة حرب مع مليشيا تساهل معها المجتمع الدولي منذ انقلابها على الشرعية في اليمن، وغضّ بصره عن تزويدها بالسلاح والخبراء وبناء منصات الصواريخ والتدريب من قبل خبراء الحرس الثوري الإيراني. على مدى أكثر من 12 عاماً كانت المليشيا تناور بالوقت وتعطّل المسار السياسي وتخرق محاولات الهدنة على طريقة الراعي الرسمي الإيراني. أوشك التحالف ذات يوم أن يطهّر مدينة الحديدة من الحوثيين، واقترب من صنعاء، لكن تم الضغط عليه لعدم تنفيذ تلك الخطوة التي كان بإمكانها تغيير مسار الأمور بشكل جوهري. لقد فعلها حينذاك المجتمع الدولي الذي يردد الآن عبارات الشجب والتنديد والاستنكار لما ترتكبه المليشيا من جرائم. إنها ازدواجية معايير، وتواطؤ على الشعب اليمني التوّاق للخلاص، وتعمّدٌ لاستمرار تهديد أمن المنطقة والمملكة تحديداً، حتى وصلنا إلى هذا الوضع الخطير.
المملكة لديها من أسباب القوة ما يمكّنها من عقاب وتحييد مليشيا الحوثي تماماً، وبما يتناسب مع فداحة الجرائم ضد منشآتها المدنية ومواطنيها والمقيمين فيها، لكنها دولة تعمل ضمن تحالف لإعادة الشرعية بقيادتها، وهي دولة كبرى لديها التزامات تجاه العالم فيما يتعلق بإمدادات النفط والطاقة وجوانب الاقتصاد الأخرى، وحسابات الدولة تختلف عن حسابات مليشيا طفيلية لا يهمها أن يحترق اليمن وشعبه. المملكة تعرف مسبقاً أنها ستتعرّض لأضرار لأنها هي التي تقف رأس حربة ضد المشروع الحوثي لتحويل اليمن إلى معسكر دائم للحرس الثوري الإيراني، وبؤرة فوضى مستمرة في موقع جيوسياسي مهم للمنطقة والعالم كله.
المليشيا الحوثية بتصعيدها مؤخراً تعجّل بتحجيمها وانكماشها ثم إجبارها على التسليم بالنهاية الطبيعية لها كأي تنظيم إرهابي. والمملكة قادرة على امتصاص الأضرار التي تتعرّض لها لكنها لن تخضع لأي ابتزاز كما يتوهم الحوثيون وداعموهم. ليس سوى الحرب الضروس كخيار وحيد لاجتثاث نبتة خبيثة تم زرعها في أرض اليمن.
What the Houthi militia did by carrying out a terrorist attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh last Saturday was not surprising. It was expected, and we pointed it out when the “Fajr Yemen” operation began, with its first results being the expulsion of the militia forces from the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which represents their loss of an important strategic card they wanted to use to blackmail the Kingdom specifically. What the militia has recently faced has stripped them of many of their gains, lost their balance, tightened the noose around them, and began to show signs of their impending end. Therefore, they resorted to using everything available to them to harm the Kingdom with a terrorist, criminal militia mentality that targeted the capital’s airport and resulted in a large number of casualties and injuries, which constitutes a complete war crime according to the description of the official spokesperson for the coalition.
Yes, it is a war crime, and we are in a state of war with a militia that the international community has been lenient with since its coup against legitimacy in Yemen, turning a blind eye to their supply of weapons and experts, the construction of missile platforms, and training by Iranian Revolutionary Guard experts. For more than 12 years, the militia has been maneuvering with time, disrupting the political process, and violating ceasefire attempts in the manner of their Iranian official sponsor. The coalition was once on the verge of cleansing the city of Hodeidah of the Houthis and was close to Sana’a, but it was pressured not to take that step, which could have fundamentally changed the course of events. It was the international community that did this at that time, which now repeats phrases of condemnation and denunciation for the crimes committed by the militia. This is a double standard, a collusion against the Yemeni people who yearn for salvation, and a deliberate act to continue threatening the security of the region and the Kingdom specifically, until we reached this dangerous situation.
The Kingdom has the power to punish and completely neutralize the Houthi militia, in a manner commensurate with the gravity of the crimes against its civilian facilities, its citizens, and residents. However, it is a state that operates within a coalition to restore legitimacy under its leadership, and it is a major state with commitments to the world regarding oil and energy supplies and other economic aspects. The calculations of a state differ from those of a parasitic militia that does not care if Yemen and its people burn. The Kingdom knows in advance that it will suffer damages because it is at the forefront against the Houthi project to turn Yemen into a permanent camp for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and a continuous chaos hotspot in a geopolitically important location for the region and the entire world.
By escalating recently, the Houthi militia is hastening its own limitation and contraction, then forcing it to accept its natural end like any terrorist organization. The Kingdom is capable of absorbing the damages it incurs, but it will not submit to any blackmail as the Houthis and their supporters imagine. Only a fierce war remains as the sole option to uproot a malignant plant that has been sown in the land of Yemen.
