«صفقة عراقجي»: عودة التفتيش النووي مقابل تخفيف العقوبات – أخبار السعودية
أفصحت وكالة «بلومبيرغ» أن وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي اقترح خلال لقاءاته في نيويورك إتاحة وصول مفتشي الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية إلى المنشآت النووية الإيرانية التي تعرضت للقصف خلال الحرب، مقابل تخفيف العقوبات.
ونقلت عن دبلوماسيين قولهم إن اقتراح عراقجي قد يكون مؤشراً على الضغوط الاقتصادية التي تتعرض لها طهران، رغم أنه لم يقدم خلال هذه اللقاءات معلومات مفصلة عن وضع اقتصاد بلاده.
من جانبه، شكك الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب في التزام إيران بأي اتفاق يتم التوصل إليه مستقبلاً، مطالباً القيادة الإيرانية باتخاذ القرار الصائب.
وقال: في الأيام القليلة الماضية، أخرجنا المزيد من النفط من مضيق هرمز.. البحرية رائعة حقاً فقد فرضت حصاراً.. نحن الوحيدون القادرون على العبور أو من نسمح لهم بالعبور.. لم تتمكن إيران من تمرير سفينة واحدة.. ولا سفينة واحدة منذ شهور.
وأشار ترمب إلى أنه عندما تنتهي الحرب وهو ما سيحدث بطريقة أو بأخرى.. عليهم أن يتخذوا إجراء مناسباً وذكياً، وإلا فلن يبقوا طويلاً.. وهذا بالتأكيد وبصراحة شيء أكره رؤيته.. لكنهم لن يبقوا طويلاً.. هناك مجموعة من الناس تريد ذلك لأنهم يقولون إنه لا يمكن التوصل إلى اتفاق مع الإيرانيين.
وفي مقابلة مع مجلة «تايم» نُشرت (الخميس)، تحدّث ترمب عن تكثيف محتمل للهجمات ضد إيران بعد انتخابات منتصف الولاية المقرّرة مطلع شهر نوفمبر القادم.
وبحسب صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال»، فإن وزارة الحرب الأمريكية «البنتاغون» سترسل حاملة طائرات وسفناً أخرى إلى المنطقة، في إطار تعزيزات يراوح عديدها بين تسعة آلاف وعشرة آلاف عسكري يُتوقع وصولهم بحلول نهاية شهر نوفمبر.
Bloomberg Agency reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi suggested during his meetings in New York to allow International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors access to Iranian nuclear facilities that were bombed during the war, in exchange for easing sanctions.
It quoted diplomats as saying that Araghchi’s proposal might be an indication of the economic pressures Tehran is facing, although he did not provide detailed information about the state of his country’s economy during these meetings.
For his part, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed skepticism about Iran’s commitment to any future agreement, urging the Iranian leadership to make the right decision.
He said: In the past few days, we have taken more oil out of the Strait of Hormuz… the navy is really great; it has imposed a blockade… we are the only ones able to pass or whom we allow to pass… Iran has not been able to get a single ship through… not a single ship for months.
Trump indicated that when the war ends, which will happen one way or another… they need to take appropriate and smart action, otherwise they won’t last long… and this is certainly something I hate to see… but they won’t last long… there are a group of people who want that because they say that no agreement can be reached with the Iranians.
In an interview with Time magazine published (Thursday), Trump talked about a potential intensification of attacks against Iran after the midterm elections scheduled for early November.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) will send an aircraft carrier and other ships to the region, as part of reinforcements numbering between nine thousand and ten thousand troops expected to arrive by the end of November.
