في الوقت الذي تسابقت فيه الشركات العالمية لتسريح موظفيها استبدالاً بـ«وكلاء الذكاء الاصطناعي» تحت شعار خفض التكاليف، بدأت الأرقام تكشف حقيقة صادمة: الأتمتة ليست دائماً الطريق إلى التوفير، بل قد تكون باباً خلفياً لاستنزاف الميزانيات.
خدعة الاشتراكات.. والواقع المرّ
يعتقد أصحاب الشركات أن دفع 20 أو حتى 200 دولار شهرياً للاشتراك في خدمات الذكاء الاصطناعي هو التكلفة النهائية. لكن الحقيقة تكمن في نظام «التوكنز» (Tokens)، وهي وحدات استهلاك تُحاسب عليها الشركة مع كل نقرة، وكل استعلام، وكل عملية تحليل. هذه التكاليف التراكمية، عند استخدامها تجارياً وبشكل مكثف، قد تتجاوز بسهولة راتب موظف محترف يتقاضى 100 ألف دولار سنوياً.
ولا تتوقف المعضلة عند التكلفة المادية للخدمة، بل في «الكلفة التشغيلية الخفية». فالذكاء الاصطناعي لا يزال عرضة للهلوسة والأخطاء التقنية، مما يضطر الشركات لتوظيف بشرٍ لمراجعة مخرجاته وتدقيقها.
والنتيجة هي أن الشركة أصبحت تدفع مرتين: فاتورة باهظة للخوادم العملاقة التي تشغل الذكاء الاصطناعي، ورواتب إضافية لموظفين يراقبون أداءه لضمان عدم انهيار الأعمال.
خلال العامين الماضيين، شهدنا موجات تسريح واسعة تحت بند «التحول الرقمي». لكن مع ظهور فاتورة التشغيل الفعلية، بدأ المديرون يطرحون سؤالاً مؤلماً: هل ضحينا بالعقول البشرية من أجل أدوات تستهلك كهرباءً وخوادم أكثر مما تقدمه من قيمة مضافة؟
وبعيداً عن الحسابات الرقمية، يظل الإنسان هو الأداة الأكثر «كفاءة اقتصادية»:
- لا يستهلك «توكنز»: لا تتضاعف تكلفته كلما زادت مهماته.
- صاحب سياق: يفهم المسؤولية، والأخلاقيات، والأبعاد الإستراتيجية التي تفشل الآلة في إدراكها.
- الأمان: لا يعاني من «الهلوسة التقنية» التي قد تكلف الشركات سمعتها في لحظة.
ويمكن الخلوص إلى أن الذكاء الاصطناعي أداة ثورية لتعزيز الإنتاجية، لكن اعتباره «بديلاً رخيصاً» للبشر هو أسطورة تسويقية تروج لها الشركات المطورة لزيادة أرباحها، بينما تدفع الشركات الأخرى ثمن هذه المغامرة.

The Subscription Trick.. and the Bitter Reality
Business owners believe that paying $20 or even $200 a month for subscriptions to AI services is the final cost. However, the truth lies in the “tokens” system, which are consumption units that the company is charged for with every click, every query, and every analysis operation. These cumulative costs, when used commercially and intensively, can easily exceed the salary of a professional employee earning $100,000 a year.
The dilemma does not stop at the financial cost of the service but extends to the “hidden operational costs.” Artificial intelligence is still prone to hallucinations and technical errors, forcing companies to hire humans to review and audit its outputs.
The result is that the company ends up paying twice: a hefty bill for the massive servers running the AI and additional salaries for employees monitoring its performance to ensure business continuity.
Over the past two years, we have witnessed widespread layoffs under the banner of “digital transformation.” But with the emergence of the actual operating bill, managers have begun to ask a painful question: Have we sacrificed human minds for tools that consume more electricity and servers than they provide in added value?
Beyond the numerical calculations, the human remains the most “economically efficient” tool:
- Does not consume “tokens”: its cost does not multiply as its tasks increase.
- Contextual understanding: grasps responsibility, ethics, and strategic dimensions that machines fail to comprehend.
- Security: does not suffer from the “technical hallucinations” that could cost companies their reputation in an instant.
It can be concluded that artificial intelligence is a revolutionary tool for enhancing productivity, but considering it a “cheap alternative” to humans is a marketing myth propagated by developing companies to increase their profits, while other companies pay the price for this gamble.
