تعرف على حظوظ «أخضر17» ومجموعته في كأس آسيا – أخبار السعودية
تستضيف مدينة جدة حدثاً آسيوياً جديداً مطلع الأسبوع القادم إذ تنطلق بطولة كأس آسيا تحت 17 عاماً 2026 في السعودية (الثلاثاء) 5 مايو بمشاركة 16 منتخباً يتنافسون على المجد القاري، ومن المتوقع أن تكون البطولة مُثيرة للغاية، إذ تُتاح فيها أيضاً فرصة التأهل لكأس العالم تحت 17 عاماً 2026 في قطر.
واستعد منتخبنا الوطني السعودي لهذه البطولة بإقامة عدة معسكرات داخلية وخارجية تمهيداً لدخول منافسات البطولة التي يوجد فيها الأخضر السعودي للمرة الـ13، وتأهل بصفته البلد المستضيف، وسبق له أن حقق البطولة مرتين 1985 و1988، وسيخوض المنتخب الوطني لقاءاته ضمن المجموعة الأولى؛ 5 مايو أمام ميانمار و9 مايو أمام تايلاند، و12 مايو أمام طاجيكستان.
ويعد منتخب طاجيكستان المنافس المباشر للأخضر السعودي على صدارة المجموعة وتُعد هذه المشاركة السادسة له والثالثة على التوالي، وسبق أن حقق الوصافة في نسخة 2018، فيما غادر دور ربع النهائي في النسخة السابقة.
ولا يقل منتخب تايلند قوة عن البقية، إذ يشارك للمرة الـ13 وسبق أن حقق لقب البطولة 1998، وخرج من دور المجموعات في النسخة الماضية، كما خرج من دور ربع النهائي 2023.
أما آخر منتخبات المجموعة فهو منتخب ميانمار الذي تأهل متصدراً للمجموعة السابعة في التصفيات، وتُعد هذه المشاركة الرابعة له، وقد خرج من دور المجموعات في المشاركات الثلاث السابقة، وتأتي هذه العودة للبطولة بعد غياب طويل، إذ كان آخر ظهور في نسخة 2006.
The city of Jeddah is hosting a new Asian event at the beginning of next week as the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup kicks off in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, May 5, with the participation of 16 teams competing for continental glory. The tournament is expected to be very exciting, as it also offers a chance to qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.
Our national team, the Saudi Green Falcons, has prepared for this tournament by holding several internal and external training camps in anticipation of entering the competition, where the Saudi Green will participate for the 13th time, having qualified as the host country. They have previously won the tournament twice in 1985 and 1988. The national team will play its matches in Group A; on May 5 against Myanmar, on May 9 against Thailand, and on May 12 against Tajikistan.
Tajikistan is considered the direct competitor of the Saudi Green for the top spot in the group, marking their sixth participation and third in a row. They previously finished as runners-up in the 2018 edition, while they exited in the quarter-finals in the last edition.
The Thailand team is no less strong than the others, participating for the 13th time and having previously won the tournament in 1998. They were eliminated in the group stage in the last edition, as well as in the quarter-finals in 2023.
The last team in the group is Myanmar, which qualified as the leader of Group 7 in the qualifiers. This marks their fourth participation, and they have exited in the group stage in the previous three participations. This return to the tournament comes after a long absence, with their last appearance being in 2006.
