اغتيال الصحفية اللبنانية آمال خليل بغارة إسرائيلية.. والرئيس عون يتابع تطورات الحادثة – أخبار السعودية
أعلنت مصادر رسمية لبنانية، فجر اليوم (الخميس)، اغتيال الصحفية اللبنانية آمال خليل في غارة إسرائيلية استهدفت منزلاً في بلدة «الطيري» جنوبي لبنان، بعد ساعات من عمليات بحث مكثفة تحت الأنقاض انتهت بانتشال جثمانها.
مطاردة بالقصف حتى تحت الأنقاض
ووفق مصادر إعلامية لبنانية، كانت آمال خليل قد توجهت إلى بلدة الطيري في قضاء بنت جبيل برفقة المصورة زينب فرج، إلى جانب شابين، حيث استهدفت غارة أولى الشابين وأودت بحياتهما.
وعقب ذلك، حاولت الصحفية وزميلتها الاحتماء داخل منزل مجاور، إلا أن الطيران الحربي الإسرائيلي لاحقهما، وشن غارة عنيفة على المبنى المكون من ثلاثة طوابق، ما أدى إلى إصابة زينب فرج بجروح خطرة، فيما بقيت آمال تحت الأنقاض حتى العثور على جثمانها.
استهداف متكرر ومحاولات إنقاذ تحت النار
وأفادت المصادر بأن سيارة الصحفية تعرضت هي الأخرى لغارات قبل استهداف المنزل، في تصعيد لافت.
كما كشف مصدر عسكري لبناني أن طائرة إسرائيلية مسيّرة ألقت قنبلة على منقذين أثناء محاولتهم انتشال صحفي جريح من تحت الأنقاض، في حادثة أثارت استنكارًا واسعًا.
تحركات رسمية ونداءات إنقاذ
وكانت الرئاسة اللبنانية أعلنت متابعة رئيس الجمهورية العماد جوزيف عون لتطورات الحادثة، وطلبه من الصليب الأحمر اللبناني التنسيق مع الجيش والقوات الدولية للإسراع في إنقاذ العالقين، مع التأكيد على ضرورة حماية العاملين في الحقل الإعلامي وعدم استهدافهم أثناء أداء مهامهم.
تشييع مرتقب وإدانة رسمية
وأشارت مصادر لبنانية إلى وصول جثمان الصحفية آمال خليل إلى مسقط رأسها في بلدة البيسرية، وسط الاستعدادات لتشييعها.
من جهته، نعى وزير الإعلام اللبناني بول مرقص الصحفية الراحلة، واصفًا استهدافها بأنه «جريمة موصوفة وانتهاك صارخ للقانون الدولي الإنساني»، داعيًا المجتمع الدولي إلى التحرك العاجل لوقف استهداف الصحفيين ومنع تكراره.
تصعيد يثير القلق
وتعيد الحادثة تسليط الضوء على المخاطر المتزايدة التي يواجهها الصحفيون في مناطق النزاع، في ظل تصاعد العمليات العسكرية جنوب لبنان، وسط مطالبات متكررة بحماية الإعلاميين وضمان سلامتهم أثناء أداء واجبهم المهني.
Lebanese official sources announced early today (Thursday) the assassination of Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in the town of “Tiri” in southern Lebanon, just hours after intensive search operations under the rubble ended with the recovery of her body.
Chased by Bombing Even Under the Rubble
According to Lebanese media sources, Amal Khalil had gone to the town of Tiri in the Bent Jbeil district accompanied by photographer Zainab Farraj, along with two young men, when an initial airstrike targeted the two young men, killing them.
After that, the journalist and her colleague tried to take shelter inside a nearby house, but Israeli warplanes followed them and launched a violent airstrike on the three-story building, resulting in serious injuries to Zainab Farraj, while Amal remained under the rubble until her body was found.
Repeated Targeting and Rescue Attempts Under Fire
Sources reported that the journalist’s car was also targeted by airstrikes before the house was hit, marking a significant escalation.
A Lebanese military source revealed that an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on rescuers while they were trying to retrieve an injured journalist from under the rubble, an incident that sparked widespread condemnation.
Official Movements and Rescue Calls
The Lebanese presidency announced that President General Joseph Aoun is following the developments of the incident and has requested the Lebanese Red Cross to coordinate with the army and international forces to expedite the rescue of those trapped, emphasizing the need to protect media workers and not target them while performing their duties.
Expected Funeral and Official Condemnation
Lebanese sources indicated that the body of journalist Amal Khalil has arrived in her hometown of Baisariyeh, amid preparations for her funeral.
For his part, Lebanese Minister of Information Paul Marquess mourned the late journalist, describing her targeting as a “described crime and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law,” calling on the international community to take urgent action to stop the targeting of journalists and prevent its recurrence.
Escalation Raises Concerns
The incident sheds light on the increasing dangers faced by journalists in conflict areas, amid escalating military operations in southern Lebanon, with repeated calls for the protection of journalists and ensuring their safety while performing their professional duties.
