The Coalition Forces supporting legitimacy in Yemen have thwarted arms smuggling operations to the Houthi militia, while the Yemeni army intensified its attacks, making field progress in Marib and Taiz.

The spokesperson for the Coalition Forces supporting legitimacy in Yemen, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, published a video clip on the platform “X,” stating that it documents the targeting of arms smuggling operations to the Houthis via the sea towards the Al-Hudaydah Governorate in western Yemen.

We strike them on land and drown them at sea

The video included, according to the attached comments, weapons that were unloaded onto Yemeni shores for transport by military vehicles, in addition to targeting transport vehicles and smuggled arms, as well as means of smuggling weapons through organized crime groups to the Houthis. The footage included an operation that the coalition claimed was aimed at transporting smuggled weapons to the Yemeni islands, and Al-Maliki accompanied the clip with the phrase: “We strike them on land… we drown them at sea.”

Al-Maliki stated during a press conference on Thursday that the Houthis have acquired advanced technologies with the help of “regional parties,” adding that the group now possesses ballistic missiles, offensive and suicide drones, and explosive speedboats.

He pointed out that the leadership of the coalition’s joint forces has worked to dismantle a network of mountain warehouses established by the Houthis in Sana’a, Saada, and Amran, and destroyed several missile launch platforms, affirming the continuation of necessary measures to confront the group’s threats and dismantle its offensive capabilities.

The official spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, indicated that there have been 1,292 precise and direct targeting operations against military targets belonging to the Houthis, which included defensive positions, fortifications, trenches, sources of fire, gathering areas, and means of transport and supply.

He added that the government forces have achieved field gains on the eastern front in Marib Governorate, stating that the army units “have capitalized on the results of the targeting and fire support, expanded the breach, and made new field progress, controlling several sites and ruling bodies.”

Depleting the capabilities of the terrorist militia

The military spokesperson reported that the forces continue to “impose increasing operational pressure on the enemy and deplete its capabilities,” while military engineering units continue to clear sites and corridors of mines and explosive devices, opening routes for advancement and securing the areas that have been regained. Al-Nazili published a video clip documenting some of the targeting operations carried out by the Yemeni army against vehicles and fighters belonging to the Houthis as part of the “Dawn of Yemen” operation.

In Taiz Governorate, Al-Nazili noted that the warplanes continue to carry out “focused strikes” targeting Houthi reinforcements and combat sites, considering that these strikes have contributed to depleting the group’s capabilities and thwarting its operational objectives.

The Yemeni army managed yesterday (Friday) to thwart wide-scale attacks launched by the Houthi militia on several fronts in Taiz Governorate, with support and backing from the “popular resistance” and warplanes.

The media center of the Yemeni armed forces stated that army units were able to thwart a Houthi attack targeting the eastern and western sectors of the Shaqab front south of the city of Taiz, following violent clashes that erupted since dawn.

Targeting Aden Airport with two missiles

The Houthis targeted Aden Airport with two missiles on Friday evening, in the second incident of its kind within less than a week. The missiles fell while a Yemeni Airlines plane was preparing for takeoff to Cairo, about 500 meters away from the aircraft, according to what was announced by Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani.

The Yemeni Ministry of Transport stated that the first missile fell at the western gate of the airport towards the runway, while the second fell northwest of the airport, coinciding with the preparation of a Yemeni Airlines flight, flight number IYE 612, for takeoff to Cairo, noting that it was evacuated immediately. The airport security management explained that Aden International Airport represents a vital air outlet for Yemenis, including patients and humanitarian cases who rely on it for travel and receiving treatment outside the country.

A civilian aircraft belonging to “Aden Airlines” was forced to divert its course and land at Djibouti Airport today (Saturday) after it was unable to land at Aden International Airport.

A source stated that the aircraft, which was coming from Cairo International Airport with about 150 passengers on board, circled in the skies of Aden for more than an hour, waiting for permission to land, before deciding to divert its course to Djibouti to ensure the safety of the passengers and crew.
